HOW TO REACH TO KEDARKANTHA TREK:-

Kedarkantha trek isn’t very challenging. Once you arrive in Dehradun, you can easily get to the campsite’s base with the help of local transport.

BY AIR:-

The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is approximately 25 km far from downtown. Dehradun is accessible by a regular plane from Delhi. To reach the base camp, you can take a cab or use public transport when you arrive in Dehradun.

BY TRAIN:-

Delhi You can also get a train from Dehradun. There are regular trains that run from Delhi to Dehradun. So you could take an overnight train that runs from Delhi until Dehradun and then transfer to a private car or bus to Sankri.

BY ROAD:-

There are normal buses to Delhi until Dehradun. Delhi is served by government buses, therefore it is suggested to use one of them at Delhi’s Kashmere Gate until Dehradun. After getting to Dehradun, you will be able to use public transport or rent private vehicles to get to Sankri.

KEDARKANTHA TREK PACKAGE DETAILS

DAY 1: DEHRADUN TOSANKRI:-

The base camp of the Kedarkantha trek is located in Sankri. It is about 186 kilometres far from Dehradun. So, the Kedarkantha trek starts from Sankri. It is possible to reach Sankri via rail and road from Dehradun. You may also reach it by plane and then travel on the local bus or take an auto or cab to get to the base camp site.

DAY 2: SANKRI TO JUDA KA TAAL:-

The teachers will provide you with spikes and garters to wear during your journey to ensure your safety. On Day 2 of your walk, you’ll need to complete a total of that is 5kms between Sankri up to Juda Tal. To get ready, you’ll begin by walking for about 10 minutes. DAY 3: JUDA KA TAAL TO KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP:-

On the third day, you begin making an incline of Juda and by the time you reach late night, you’ll be at your Kedarkantha base camp. There, you can relax in the beauty of nature and stay the night, after having dinner. The elevation of the area is 11,200 feet. The total distance of the trek will be 3-4 kilometres by the end of your third and final day.

DAY 4: KEDARKANTHA BASE CAMP TO KEDARKANTHA:-

It will be a long day as you will have to travel 6 km. You will spend some time exploring the surrounding areas before sitting down to have your lunch. You will leave after lunch and return from the summit. On the way, you will see Kali Peak, Gangotri, Bandarpunch and many other places before going to Hargaon on the same day.

DAY 5: HARGAON TO SANKRI TO DEHRADUN:-

The return journey will be to Shankari and then Dehradun on the final morning of the journey. The total distance that you will cover during the last day is about 6 km, which means it’s an extremely long and relaxing day. On your return journey, you’ll be able to explore certain local communities and have a break between meals. When you return to Sankri, you can take a rest day and leave for Dehradun the following day.
